Blasts Kill at Least 19 at Funeral for Senator's Son Slain During Protest

At least 19 people were killed in Kabul, Afghanistan, when a series of blasts struck at the funeral for the son of deputy Senate speaker Mohammad Alam Izadyar. Salem Izadyar died from injuries sustained during anti-government protests on June 2.The Taliban denied that it had any role in the attack, blaming factional rivalries in the government’s own camp.
