The Indian cricket team were unhappy with practice facilities at the Edgbaston Cricket Ground with both coach Anil Kumble and skipper Virat Kohli expressing their displeasure with the local authorities.On India's first training day in Birmingham ground and they were allocated the practice arena adjacent to main stadium.It was learnt that the likes of Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Shami and Hardik Pandya, all of whom have a 30-yard run-up, couldn't bowl full tilt at the nets as the distance wasn't big enough.

चैंपियंस ट्रोफी में पाकिस्तान के खिलाफ मैच से पहले बर्मिंगम में प्रैक्टिस कर रही टीम इंडिया यहां दी गई प्रैक्टिस की सुविधाओं से संतुष्ट नहीं है। बर्मिंगम में भारतीय टीम का अभ्यास का पहला दिन था।इस प्रैक्टिस मैदान पर ऐसा पाया गया कि उमेश यादव, मोहम्मद शमी और हार्दिक पांड्या अपना 30 यार्ड का रनअप भी नहीं ले पा रहे थे। इस कारण ये तेज गेंजबाज अपनी पूरी स्ट्रेंथ से अभ्यास नहीं कर सके। हालांकि पिछले एक सप्ताह से यहां ठहरी पाकिस्तान टीम यहां के मुख्य मैदान में प्रैक्टिस कर चुकी है। भारतीय टीम को शनिवार से पहले मुख्य मैदान पर प्रैक्टिस का मौका नहीं मिलेगा, जबकि रविवार को उसे यहां अपने चिर-प्रतिद्वंद्वी पाकिस्तान से मैच खेलना है।
