CORDOVA, TENNESSEE— A high school graduation ceremony in Tennessee turned violent when two women started brawling with other attendees.

The violence broke out during Arlington High School's graduation ceremony at Bellevue Baptist Church in Cordova on Tuesday.

The women began fighting with other attendees at around 7 p.m. as graduates filed into the hall. It all began over a seating disagreement, Fox13 Memphis reported, citing people on social media.

The mayhem was caught on camera and posted to the web. In the footage, the women can be seen pushing, cursing, shoving, and punching others while graduation music “Pomp and Circumstance” plays in the background. The altercation ended after other attendees stepped in and broke them up.

The Shelby County Sheriff's Office said deputies did not respond to the the incident, and that the church had its own security present.

Arlington Community Schools said in a statement that the fight didn’t ruin the students’ big night and that the church’s security team removed those involved from the ceremony.
