Firefighters Experience Smokenadoes at West Mims Wildfire

Firefighters battling the West Mims Wildfire in the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge in Georgia experienced smokenadoes, or smoke whirls. West Metro Fire Rescue from Colorado posted video on Thursday, May 18, showing the phenomenon.The fire department is one of many from across the country that has sent firefighters to assist with the fight against the massive wildfire. The size of the fire remained at 152,231 acres Thursday and was 40 percent contained.
