Boy gets run over after being knocked off scooter

Shocking footage has emerged from China of a boy being run over by a car after being knocked off his scooter by someone opening their car door.
The video, filmed in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province on May 10, shows the scooter hit the open car door, knocking the boy and his father to the ground.
A car following the pair is unable to stop in time and runs over the boy.
According to local reports, he had severe injuries but is expected to recover.
