Some Soldiers Will Soon Carry Mini Surveillance Drones

by Jeff DonlanThe Snipe Nano Quadrotor, designed by drone maker AeroVironment, could help the U.S. military on surveillance The first 20 Snipes were delivered to the military last month. At only five ounces, the mini drones can easily be carried by soldiers, then unfolded and deployed in under a minute. They can fly for 15 minutes at a time and provide real-time video feedback during the day and at night.
