City submerged as devastating flooding hits southern China

Footage has emerged from China of a city underwater after a powerful rainstorm flooded parts of Guangdong Province.
The video, filmed in Guangzhou, shows a pig swimming along a submerged road and also features people eating at a restaurant when water enters the building.
There is also footage of large swathes of the city underwater.
According to local reports, 172 houses collapsed under the pressure of the flooding and, so far, the emergency services have evacuated nearly 7,000 people.
