Filmmaker Michael Moore has shared his stories and views via most of the major media forms, but, this summer, he’s trying something new.
Beginning in August, he will star in a one-man Broadway play, reports the New York Daily News.
It’s called, 'The Terms of My Surrender,' and, thus far, the tag line reads, “Can a Broadway show take down a sitting President?”
Moore intends to do eight performances a week for twelve weeks, though the content won’t necessarily be the same every time.
In an interview with the New York Times, the show’s Tony Award-winning director Michael Mayer said, “There’s a good chance we’ll have some surprise guests throughout the run, and some surprise postshow excursions that will vary night to night.”
Moore described the performance at large as, “a humorous play about a country that’s just elected a madman,” but also commented, “To say it’s just about Trump would simplify it. I think people will find themselves laughing one minute and wanting to go look for some pitchforks and torches the next.”
