Fate of the Furious Surpasses $1 Billion Mark

Fate of the Furious isn’t slowing down. In fact, the movie just surpassed the 1 billion dollar mark. And to be honest, we’re not surprised at all. The 8th installment of Universal’s high-octane franchise series has torn up the box office, raking in almost 200 million dollars domestically in its first three weeks out. And at this rate, we can’t imagine what the final numbers will actually be. The film stars Vin Diesel, who is convinced by a cyber terrorist – played by Charlize Theron – to turn against his team, setting off a series of a series of car chases and explosions. Pretty much the stuff you’d expect. And even though there’s been rumor of tension on set between Diesel and The Rock… We can imagine they’re doing high-fives right now, basking in the glory of having one of the highest grossing movies of all time. Then again, it did cost an estimated 250 million bucks… But hey, you gotta spend money to make money. And with them surpassing a billion dollars in less than a month has pretty much guaranteed audiences to seeing at least 2 more of these things. So make sure to buckle up.
