UK anti-terror cops go to work, as teen’s train bomb trial continues

LONDON — Anti-terror police swooped into action on Thursday afternoon near the British Houses of Parliament.

Police arrested a 27-year-old man suspected of planning a terrorist attack in the area, Reuters reported. The suspect was found to be carrying a backpack full of knives.

Separately, police officers shot and wounded a female terror suspect during a raid on a house in Willesden, northwest London.

Police detained two male suspects and two other women during the Thursday evening anti-terror operation, the BBC reported.
