Kapu Protesters in Andhra set train on fire demanding reservation

Violence broke out in Andhra Pradesh's Tuni town on Sunday as protestors demanded reservations for Kapu community under the backward class category. Many vehicles, 2 police stations and even a train for set ablaze. Kapu leader M Padmanabham on Sunday night announced that he was withdrawing the protest after assurance from Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. The situation in the East Godavari district is now believed to be under control.
