DMDK forms alliance with PWF for Tamil Nadu polls 2016

In a major development in Tamil Nadu, (DMDK) on Wednesday formally entered into an electoral alliance with the People's Welfare Front (PWF), constituting two Left parties, the MDMK and the VCK. An official statement said the DMDK would contest 124 seats and the rest 110 will go to the other parties. DMDK president Vijayakant will be projected as the chief ministerial candidate of the front.
