UP CM Yogi Adityanath shunted out DGP Javeed Ahmed replacing him with 1980 batch IPS officer Sulkhan Singh. Yogi transferred as many as 12 senior IPS officers including 5 DGP rank, four ADGs and three IGS. The new DGP Sulkhan Singh seems to have been rewarded for taking on the Samajwadi Party government on Police recruitment scam during Maywati’s regime. As a result he was given insignificant postings during Akhiesh regime.
