Senator Elizabeth Warren appeared on NBC's 'Tonight Show' Tuesday and spoke with Jimmy Fallon about the state of the Democratic Party and its plans regarding President Trump.
Warren said staying focused is high on the list of important things to do. In making her point, she threw in a Pixar movie reference, commenting, “We cannot shoot at everything that moves. Remember in the movie ‘Up,’ the dog, when he yells, ‘Squirrel!’? We cannot all go over there.”
With canine pals apparently on her mind, she also noted, “He’s been there for 100 days. I swear, it feels like dog years. You know? Like he’s been there forever!”
In addition to providing some comedic moments, Warren shared advice with Democrats, saying, “We need to keep a focus on what he actually does, what he is doing to working families across this country.”
In some cases, it is what he hasn’t done that’s drawn the Senator’s attention.
In a video released on Friday, Warren backed the many Saturday marches aimed at getting Trump to release his tax returns.
She said in the MoveOn.org video, "Donald Trump is hiding something and we know where he is hiding it. Not in a safe. Not in a vault. Nope. He’s hiding it in his taxes."
Warren also noted, “People will be marching to tell Donald Trump they want to know who he really is working for and for Congress to force Donald Trump to release his taxes...The American people definitely didn’t elect Wall Street or Saudi Arabia or Russia to run our country."
