3 Things Don't Know about Gina Gallo

In 1933, two brothers one Ernest and the other Julio Gallo, turned their dream of winemaking into a reality. Now nearly 80 years later, E. & J. Gallo Winery is still alive and thriving thanks to the commitment of their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gina Gallo is the grand-daughter of Julio Gallo, she followed in her grandfather's footsteps and helped her family's legacy live on and is now one of the world's most powerful women in wine.

By now the name Gallo likely rolls off your tongue like a bottle of Bartles and Jaymes, but you might not know the story behind the bottle. Our video series on the Historic Wineries of California continues with E. & J. Gallo Winery, the largest family-owned winery in the world and the largest exporter of California wine.

In this video, Wine Oh TV's Monique Soltani sits down with wine goddess Gina Gallo, gets to the bottom of her new signature series and finds out how she is balancing life winemaking and caretaking of 11- month-old twin girls.
