Virat Kohli said he was honoured to captain India in their 500th Test at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur . In India's 500th Test on Thursday, Kohli won the toss and opted to bat first against New Zealand. This is the opening match of the 3-Test rubber. India played their first ever Test in June 1932, against England at Lord's. CK Nayudu was the captain of the team. England won by 158 runs.
