Fishing for hope in Indonesia's toxic haze | Coconuts TV

On Wednesday morning, for the first time in a long time, sunshine broke through the acrid clouds of smoke that have enveloped the remote village of Tumbang Nusa in the Pulang Pisau Regency of Central Kalimantan, Borneo, Indonesia. And so, the fishermen of the village deemed that the haze had finally cleared up enough for them to finally go fishing at nearby Kahayan lake.

For over a month, the fishermen had forgone their livelihoods because of the thick, yellow, toxic haze that has been blanketing their village.
