The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the names of players retained by the 8 teams. The window for the franchises to retain players for the VIVO Indian Premier League 2017 season closed on December 15, 2016. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said in a media advisory, Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) will enter the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 Players' Auction with maximum funds among teams after all franchises announced their list of cricketers retained for next year's tournament. Here is the full list of players retained by 8 teams.
