Neil Gorsuch takes constitutional oath to become supreme court justice

Judge Neil Gorsuch took a constitutional oath towards becoming Supreme Court justice on Monday. This will be followed by a public ceremony at the White House. He is replacing late Justice Antonin Scalia, who died in February of last year, and who Gorsuch has been compared favorably to. The confirmation process came after Republicans triggered the 'nuclear option' to override the 60-vote filibuster for Supreme Court nominees. Gorsuch will more than likely have the deciding vote in a number of high-profile cases.
