President Trump has expressed hope that his administration can lead an overhaul of the current health care law known as Obamacare despite the Republicans’ recent failure to pass an alternate bill.
On Sunday morning, he tweeted, “Anybody (especially  Fake News media) who thinks that Repeal & Replace of ObamaCare is dead does not know the love and strength in R Party!”
Soon after, he wrote, “Talks on Repealing and Replacing ObamaCare are, and have been, going on, and will continue until such time as a deal is hopefully struck.”
Trump’s tone has shifted somewhat since he blasted the hard-line Freedom Caucus members about a week ago on Twitter saying, “Democrats are smiling in D.C. that the Freedom Caucus, with the help of Club For Growth and Heritage, have saved Planned Parenthood & Ocare!”
The next day, he attacked them again, tweeting, “The Republican House Freedom Caucus was able to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. After so many bad years they were ready for a win!”
During his remarks right after the House vote was pulled, Trump mostly blamed the Democrats, saying, “...this really would have worked out better if we could have had some Democrat support.  Remember this: We had no Democrat support.”
He also predicted the Obamacare would, in his words, “explode.”
According to Gallup, Trump’s approval rating slid to 36% after the health care bill failed.
