Vet clinic staff uninjured as car rams through hospital wall

FRANKLIN, NORTH CAROLINA — Employees of a North Carolina animal hospital got the shock of their lives when they were nearly run over by a car while manning the front desk.

WLOS reports that the car’s driver, a customer of Noah’s Ark Companion Animal Hospital, had meant to step on the brakes, but instead hit the accelerator by mistake.

Two female staff members and four animals were in the reception area when the vehicle came crashing through the walls. One of the women got hit directly and became momentarily buried under some debris.

But the rest of the staff sprang into action, helping pull their co-worker out and calling for help.

Luckily, none of the humans or animals were seriously injured.

Noah’s Ark was back in business the next day in another part of the building — one which didn’t have a giant hole in it.
