Rescued sea lions released back into ocean
  • 7 years ago
Four rescued California sea lions were released back into the ocean last week by the Pacific Marine Mammal Centre.

Staff from the organisation lined up on Laguna Beach in Orange County to open the crates containing Kinsey, Syrah, Whiskers and Jyn.

The four sea lions waddled down the beach and plunged into the Pacific Ocean.

A drone filmed the group as they swam away to freedom.

The Pacific Marine Mammal Centre rescues, rehabilitates and releases marine mammals and inspires ocean stewardship through research, education and collaboration, according to the organisation's website.
