UK media mistakenly names jailed man as London terrorist

Several news organizations misidentified Abu Izzadeen as the London terror suspect on Wednesday, only to find out he is still in jail. The UK's Channel 4 and The Independent claimed Izzadeen, a radical Mulsim cleric, was responsible for the attacks in Westminster. But an ABC producer debunked those claims as Izzadeen is still in jail. Izzadeen, who was formerly known as Trevor Brooks, was jailed for two years in January 2016 for breaching the Terrorism Act by leaving UK illegally. In 2008, Izzadeen was sentenced for four and a half years for inciting terrorism.
