London attack: NYPD steps up security at British locations

The NYPD increased security at high-profile British locations across the New York City following the deadly terror attack in London. The counterterrorism department deployed long-gun teams to the British Consulate, City Hall, and the Grand Central Station. “We immediately moved and redeployed some of our Critical Response Command personnel to UK locations, as well as other city agencies around the city,” NYPD Counterterrorism Chief Jim Waters Following the attack in Westminster, President Trump reached out to British Prime Minister Theresa May, offering any assistance the country may need.
