Thrill-Seeking Surfers Ride Rapids of a Raging Stream

The wild water rapids of a usually quiet stream in New Zealand has set the scene for a bunch of thrill-seeking surfers during a day of bad weather.The group waxed their surf-boards and even brought out a wind-surfer to tackle the rapids near a bridge outside the town of Riverhead. At least one surfer among the group was no match for the strength of the waves, and was thrown down the river, as seen in this March 11 footage shared to the Facebook page Chums.
