President Donald Trump took a jab at the Obama administration on Twitter, blaming the 44th president for releasing Guantanamo Bay prisoners. Trump derived his data from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, but inaccurately cited the timeline. While 122 of the 693 prisoners did return to terroristic activity, 113 of the 122 former detainees were released by George W. Bush. Under Obama's administration, only nine prisoners were released. Trump pledged to keep Guantanamo Bay open and put a halt on releasing any prisoners.
