AIRDRIE, SCOTLAND — A Scottish woman photoshopped herself into pictures stolen from a man’s social media accounts to convince others that he was her boyfriend and they were going to get married.

Jill Sharp, 31, from Airdrie told friends she was engaged to a man named Graham and kept up the pretence about their romance for four years, the Daily Record reported.

Sharp stole Graham’s photos to support her claims, then edited out his real girlfriend and replaced her image with her own. She even followed Graham and his real girlfriend to places they had visited to take her own vacation photos.

But after hearing too many excuses about why they couldn’t meet Graham, Sharp’s friends became suspicious

“She put up a picture claiming they were having a weekend away in London but the two images were completely different. It was obvious it had been taken on a different day,” one of Sharp’s friends told the Daily Record.

Sharp’s friends eventually tracked down the real Graham and informed him about Sharp. Graham and his real girlfriend were astonished and called the police.

The cops initially said they couldn’t take any action as Sharp had not committed a crime. But after the story made the press, the police reopened their inquiries into Jill Sharp’s bizarre fantasy double life.

Sharp claims to be a mental health worker, according to the Daily Record.
