Interviewer: Congrats on your Bronze Medal. You’re the most successful ski racer in history. Now you win Bronze in the Downhill what does this mean to you after the Season didn’t start so good with your injury?
Lindsey: It was difficult to come back and to have the self confidence. But I fought. I worked and now this bronze medal is like gold for me. It wasn’t easy and my self confidence wasn’t so high after the two crashes in Cortina and then in the Super G I got DNF. But I got more self confidence from the Slalom in the Super Combine. I skied full gas. For sure it wasn’t the best Lindsey but it was enough.
Interviewer: It was great Lindsey which we saw today. You talked about the Super G there you had problems with the ski pole. How did you manage this today?
Lindsey: I taped it and i did since the Super G and it helped a lot. Then I don’t have to think about it and can concentrate on the skiing. I’ll do this till the Season final. But that’s how it is not all is perfect but i’m really, really happy.
Interviewer: As 3rd you had to worry a bit till Michelle Gisin was in the finish? How was the waiting for you?
Lindsey: Yeah 3rd is a difficult position because you have to wait and hope no one is faster. Gisin had a good run in the Super Combine and I was worried. But my time fort he 3rd place held up and i’m really thankful.
Interviewer: Congrats Lindsey!
Lindsey: Thank you!
