President Donald Trump has fulfilled a key campaign pledge by withdrawing the United States from the 12-nation Trans-Pacific Partnership.
Trump signed an executive order on Monday pulling the US out of the trade deal.
Trump called the TPP order a ‘‘great thing for the American worker.’‘
In an Oval Office ceremony, Trump also signed another order imposed a federal hiring freeze and a directive cutting funding to non-governmental organisations that provide abortions abroad.
