Man opens fire after wife bites his grilled cheese sandwich

A Maryland man is facing attempted murder charges after an argument over a grilled cheese sandwich sparked an hours-long standoff with police Sunday. The man's wife told police she had been making dinner in the kitchen when her husband fired a shot up through the floor while he was in the basement. The man, identified Monday as Daniel Brian Blackwell, 55, was angry at her because she had taken a bite from his grilled cheese sandwich, police said. No one was hurt in the incident, Baltimore Sun reports.
