The place I live, Seoul, has that much to see and enjoy.
I’m Sandra Meynier Kang from France and I am a designer.
My profession as a fashion designer always requires creativity.
There’s a place I visit whenever I need to clear my head.
The “Seoul Bamdokkaebi Night Market” opens on weekends around Seoul.
Out of those , my favorite is the one held in Yeouido.
The name Bamdokkaebi comes from Korean folktales.
The creatures are known to be only seen at night and then disappear in the morning.
The familiar area transforms into a place with popular attractions at night.
and it’s also selected as one of the best Seoul City’s policies from foreigners.
I have my own reason why I like the Bamdokkaebi Night Market as well.
It’s these designed goods with full of new and great ideas.
Taking a look around fellow designers’ goods and seeing them
interacting with the customers always gives me a new boost of passion.
On the other side, street performances add atmosphere to the night scenery.
Visitors of the night market are able to enjoy
different cultural performances held every week.
Now it's time for me to fill my hungry belly.
It always makes me think intensely with the temptation of various foods from the lined up food trucks.
As the night settles in deeper, the Bamdokkaebi Night Market becomes even more full of energy.
You can experience Seoul’s special nights here better than anywhere else.
