South superstar Rajinikanth is one of the few actors, whose fame and popularity transcends state borders and his on-screen antics have inspired a trend of online hyperbolic humour. However, what many might not know is that his charisma is such that his name almost became a part of a film title! Sources claim that before Akshay Kumar associated with the film Khiladi 786, composer-singer Himesh Reshammiya, who has also scripted the film, had wanted to name the film Punjabi Rajinikanth. The reason behind this was that the male protagonist is a larger than life character, who is absolutely invincible-just like Rajinikanth's characters on the silver screen. However, when Akshay joined the project as an actor and a co-producer, it was decided to name the film Khiladi 786 as Kumar is famous for the Khiladi series. The action-comedy film, which also stars Asin and Mithun Chakraborty, is slated to release on December 7 this year.
