Shah will be declared the next BJP chief by the party's parliamentary board on Wednesday after a consensus emerged within the organisation and RSS on his name, a senior party leader

At 49, the Narendra Modi confidant will also be one of the youngest presidents of the party. The parliamentary board, BJP's highest decision-making body, will meet on Wednesday afternoon here and its decision will be ratified by the party's National Council a few months later.
