Jackie Evancho Will Reportedly Sing National Anthem At Trump's Inauguration

Jackie Evancho, a classical vocal prodigy and past contestant on ‘America’s Got Talent,’ has been given the honor of singing the national anthem at the inauguration.

Plans for Donald Trump’s inauguration are taking form, and, on Wednesday’s airing of NBC's ‘Today,’ the singer of the national anthem was announced. 
16-year-old Jackie Evancho, a past contestant on ‘America’s Got Talent,’ has reportedly been given the honor.
At the age of 10, Evancho dazzled the reality show audience and took 2nd place in the competition, reports PEOPLE. 
In the years since, the soprano has performed at notable venues including the White House and the Lincoln Center. 
Of her upcoming high-profile gig, Evancho said on the Today show, “I’m so excited. It’s going to be awesome.” 
Singing the national anthem at the inauguration will put the teen in a very elite group, notes Entertainment Weekly.
Past performers include Beyoncé and Aretha Franklin.
