Parents spend as much time as teens on screen: report

Parents of tweens and teens spend about nine hours per day using screens, according to a new report. More than 80 percent of that time was for pleasure, not work, with parents watching television, playing video games, social networking, browsing websites, or doing other things on a computer, smartphone or tablet. Some 78% of the parents surveyed said they believe they are “good media and technology role models” for their children. The report comes from Common Sense, an organization dedicated to supporting the development of children in the digital age.
