Judge declares mistrial in Walter Scott shooting case
  • 7 years ago
A judge declared a mistrial Monday in the shooting death of an unarmed black man at the hands of a South Carolina police officer. "We were unable to come to a unanimous decision in the case of the state versus Michael Slager," the jury said. The deadlock came more than a year after Slager, a white police officer, was charged with murder and fired after graphic video emerged showing him shooting Walter Scott.
