People form human ladder to rescue an elderly man who fell into river

A heartwarming video has emerged from China of people forming a human ladder to rescue a 70-year-old man who fell into a river.
In the footage, captured in Kunming, Yunnan Province on Tuesday, a man held by a group of people uses an umbrella to try and hook an elderly man lying in the river in order to pull him onto the bank.
Passersby come to help and form a human ladder, enabling the first man to catch the elder's leg to pull him out of the river.
Once the elderly man was on the bank, his rescuers performed CPR until police and ambulances arrive.
Reports say the man was saved.
