Women work 39 days more than men per year

Women around the world work an average of 39 days per year more than men do, which breaks down to a full 50 minutes more per day, data from the WEF's Global Gender Gap report suggests. The report says the prevalence of unpaid work burdens women and estimates that economic inequalities between the sexes could take 170 years to close. There are only six countries where women work less than men, but notably three of these are Nordic countries where parental leave can be shared relatively evenly between men and women.
