Hurricane Matthew makes landfall in vulnerable Haiti

Hurricane Matthew, one of the most powerful Atlantic hurricanes in recent years has hit Haiti, bringing 145mph winds, heavy rain and dangerous storm surges.
"We’re expecting a lot of houses to go down because of the poor housing infrastructure in a lot of the rural areas where we work," said John Hasse, an aid worker in Haiti with the humanitarian organization World Vision As the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere, Haiti is still recovering from a devastating earthquake in 2010, and it has limited resources to respond to another large-scale natural disaster.
