Hurricane Newton Nears Cabo San Lucas, Baja California

Hurricane Newton approached the southern part of Baja California on the evening of Monday, September 5. The hurricane was around 137 miles south-southeast of Cabo San Lucas at 12 a.m. Tuesday, according to the US National Hurricane Center. Hurricane Newton is expected to make landfall on southern Baja California and mainland Mexico on Tuesday morning, bringing high winds, heavy rain and potential flooding.This webcam footage shows the hurricane’s initial impact on Cabo San Lucas.
