Notes: Atlanta is 2-0 in the preseason with the 24-13 road victory at the Cleveland Browns as a +2 point betting underdog. The total finished at under 38 points. Falcons dominated the line of scrimmage in the victory by outgaining the Browns by 242 yards. The team finished with 498 offensive yards. Backup Matt Simms hit on 10 of 13 throws for 136 yards with a touchdown. Cyrus Gray a fourth year back had 18 rushes for 78 yards. They finished with 224 rushing yards. Atlanta limited the Browns to 243 yards of offense with 141 through the air.

Miami fell to 1-1 in the preseason following the 41-14 road defeat to the Dallas Cowboys at a pick. The total went over 41 points. The Cowboys were up 27-14 at the half. The Dolphins defense was shredded by the Dallas offense as they gave up 433 offensive yards with 170 coming on the ground. Ryan Tannehill saw extended work and hit on 12 of 20 throws for 162 yards and two touchdowns. Isaiah Pead had four carries for 48 yards. Miami allowed four of five conversions in the red zone to Dallas.
