Notes: Miami struggled on both sides of the ball last year ranking 26th in total offense and 25th in total defense. Starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill returns for his fifth season with the team. He has been a reliable quarterback starting in all games in his four seasons in the NFL. The Dolphins have an experience backup in Matt Moore entering his ninth season. He has been with the Dolphins since the 2011 campaign. In Moore’s NFL career he has started a total of 24 games. He has thrown just 30 passes the past four years with Miami. Zac Dysert a MAC conference product out of Miami Ohio has spent four years in the NFL as a backup and has never played a regular season game. Brandon Doughty is a rookie out of Western Kentucky who could see some playing time on Friday.

This will be the first game for head coach Ben McAdoo who was the team’s offensive coordinator the past few seasons. He inherits the 32nd and last rated defense in the NFL last season. Eli Manning returns under center for the Giants and will see a series or two. Ryan Nassib is the backup who enters his fourth year with the team. Logan Thomas is in camp for New York. Thomas has spent three years in the NFL as a backup.
