Man gets thumb bitten off by alligator

Shocking footage of a man getting his thumb bitten off by an alligator.
The video, filmed in Colorado, USA on August 6, shows a group of alligator handlers trying to control the large reptile, when suddenly it spins onto its back to escape their clutches and bites the man's thumb off.
He was taken to hospital where doctors managed to re-attach the digit and he's having the stitches out later this week.
