The fugitive fowl was first seen trying to cross a road near a Church’s Chicken outpost, and a police chase soon began.
That pursuit came to an end in the parking lot of a gas station.
Though the officer was equipped with a loop-ended pole, the chicken was just too fast for him, notes Chron.
The fowl darted under a car and then vanished.
On its Facebook page, the Freeport Police Department noted, “If anyone sees it, we have a warrant for Felony Fowl Evading!”
