After the layoffs, Intel to enter the Cloud business  

The fact is that PC market saturation occurred about five years ago, and Intel is only beginning to see the effects and they will needto broaden its horizons, that means entering to the cloud computing business, and therefore competing with giants likeMicrosoft and Google.
Entering in the arena, or actually, the cloud, starts with dropping a lot of dead weight: dropping 12,000 employees who are unequipped for this cloud strategy is a big deal.
