Who will be eliminated? Who will be the eleven to move on to the next episode? Apart from this tension, there is a lot more to see in this result episode. Judge Guru Sonu Nigam performs a stunning medley to begin the show. People have also voted for their favorite contestants and the bottom two will go through a face-off and the ultimate decision to choose between them lies on the shoulders of Judge Gurus. Before moving on to the eliminations, the contestants give team performances. Judge Guru Sonu Nigam's team that includes Shovon, Piyush, Seema and Sahiti perform together on the song Jaanu Meri Jaan from the Movie Shaan and Judge Guru Shrey Ghoshal's team of Amit, Kartar, Manjeera and Geet perform on the song Bang Bang Bang from the movie Hello. Mallika Sherawat pays a surprise visit to X Factor and performs on her new sizzling item number 'Jalebi Bai' from the movie Double Dhamaal. She is then joined by Director, Indra Kumar and music composer, Anand Raj Anand who come to promote their upcoming flick Double Dhamaal, which is releasing on 24th June 2011. Judge Guru Sanjay Leela Bhansali's team of Groups Nirmitee, Sajda Sisters, Last Minute & Deewana Group spread colours with their lovely performance on Zindagi Milke Bitayenge from the movie Satte Pe Satta. Shovon, Piyush, Seema, Sahiti, Geet Sagar, Deewana Group, Amit Jhadav, Last Minute, Kartar Singh Yadav, and Sajda Sisters are declared safe. So, the bottom two, Manjeera and Nirmitee Group perform for a final evaluation. To survive the competition, Manjeera comes up with a semi-classical 'Saiyan Beimaan' and Nirmitee Group performs their unique version of Maha Ganapathim Manasa. Shreya Ghoshal casts her vote for Manjeera, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali on the contrary votes for Nirmitee. Finally, Sonu Nigam picks up Nirmitee to stay. Manjeera gets eliminated from the show and she leaves with a hope of fulfilling her dreams one day.

Open to all citizens of India over the age of 16, the auditions will be divided into 3 categories, viz. 16-25 years, 25 & above and individual groups. Participants that make through the final selection will then be divided into three groups with each group headed by a mentor. Of this lot, the top 12 will be selected to participate in the Galas and prove their mettle to the entire nation

As one of the judges for X FACTOR INDIA' Sanjay has vowed to pick only the best.
Shreya Ghoshal: For Shreya life has come full circle, from a being a contestant on a reality show to being the judge on the biggest music reality show on Indian television. This gifted singer's first film "Devdas" not only saw her getting a Filmfare 'RD. Burman Award for New Music Talent' but also the 'best female playback singer' award. After lending her voice in more than 180 films and receiving four National Film Awards, she is all set to win hearts in her new avatar as a judge in X FACTOR INDIA.
