Since their formation in 1998, the Californian group Groundation have obtained a global following thanks to their very particular style of music, based in classic roots reggae with jazz-like influences, a style expressed in the performances of the musicians and in their long improvised sections, especially during their magnificent concerts. This style of roots reggae in the key of jazz also has dub as an important influence. In their discography, in which there are now new works, they have much collaboration with crucial characters in the history of reggae such as Don Carlos or members of Israel Vibration and the Abyssinians.
