Troopers in Oregon saved a bull elk who wound up hopelessly stuck in the snow.
Elk are no strangers to the challenges involved in moving through deep snow, but sometimes even they falter.
A bull elk in Oregon landed on his back after jumping a railing and got hopelessly stuck in the frozen, fluffy white cover.
Luckily, somebody witnessed the entire thing and placed a call to the state’s Fish and Wildlife Troopers.
When the rescue team arrived, a rope was carefully placed beneath the animal’s antlers and the two troopers pulled him upright.
