Dog risks own life, braves a flooded house to rescue her drowning puppies

TEL AVIV — A video posted to Facebook shows the moment a brave dog crawls into a flooded house near Tel Aviv to save her puppies.
In the video, two Israeli soldiers are seen lifting debris from a hole in a house and directing a dog toward a puddle that flows from the street into a flooded home. In the background, we can hear her puppies whimpering in the house as their agitated mother paces outside.
After sniffing at the water, their mother looks up at the two humans beside her before crawling into the muddy mess. Moments later, she scrambles out with two puppies in her mouth and dashes away.
According to the same Facebook that accompanied the video, the dog managed to save seven of her 12 puppies. Unfortunately, the other five puppies reportedly died in the flood.
