Justin was travelling on a road flanked by a flooded field, near Manarcad in Kottayam. In the dark, he tried to cross the flooded Manarcad-Thiruvanchoor road, but his car got stuck midway, due to the water that had flown onto the road from the paddy field. While trying to pull out the car, he got drifted away into the flooded water body.
